We met at the University of Georgia, in the fall of 2015, when we joined the same intramural soccer team. Trent was reluctant to go to the first game. Our team had never met each other much less practiced together, and we didn't even have enough players to make up a full team. Luckily, he decided to show up on the thought that he may meet his future wife that night. -----------Spoiler Alert--------------He did!
Trent proposed in beautiful Hawaii. We had talked about marriage for awhile and even picked out an engagement ring together. Torey suspected that a proposal may happen during their week long vacation with her parents, and was on edge every minute, wondering when the moment was going to happen. Unfortunately, Kauai was hit with record breaking storms and flooding when we arrived, and Trent's original proposal plan was under water. To take a break from the rain, we flew to sunny Honolulu. Right when Torey was convinced that the proposal would not happen on the trip, Trent proposed on a balcony overlooking the ocean!
Although they will not be attending the wedding, we have four very important members of our little family that we would like to take a moment to recognize, our animals. Trent adopted Luna in 2013 from the animal shelter as a puppy. She requires lots of love and attention and gives just as much back to us. Luna has played a big part in our relationship from the very beginning. Delilah, aka princess sassy, fell into our lap after a visit to Trent's dad's house in the summer of 2016. She was the last of a litter of kitten's found in a neighbor's back yard and she stole our hearts right away. Luna did not know what to think of her at first, but soon enough they became the best of friends. Fred and George came to us on Christmas Day, 2017. On that night, a little orange kitten stood at our front door, meowing, in 17 degree weather. Furious that his owner left him outside in the freezing cold, we decided to bring him inside to warm up. As we crossed the threshold into our Kennesaw home, another orange kitten appeared. As it turned out, the two brothers were abandoned by their previous owner. Just like that our two animals turned into four, and we never looked back. These crazy kids keep us on our toes, but we love every minute of it!
