We’re getting married!

In early November 2024, Katie and I took a trip to the Pacific Northwest together. During that trip, Trent spontaneously caught a flight from Denver to Seattle, and met us for the last part of our trip. I absolutely loved Trent's sense of adventure and willingness to go new places. I was already falling in love with him, but that decision was what made me realize I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. I am so grateful to have found my forever travel partner! Here's to doing new things together for the rest of our lives :)

Shortly after reconnecting in the summer of 2024, we spent a day together in Golden, Colorado. We had one of Annie's co-worker's dogs with us as we walked around the touristy town. As hopped from shop to shop, grabbed coffee, and walked the streets, I saw a future with Annie that I had never seen with anyone else. She was so kind to everyone walking up to pet Winston. She radiated a joy and positivity that is oh so needed and I just knew she was the one I wanted to spend my life with.

Annie and Trent met at Sky Ranch Horn Creek, where Trent worked full time and Annie worked as summer staff for two summers. During Annie's first summer in 2022, she had a huge crush on Trent without actually knowing him very well. During Annie's second summer in 2023, the two became more friendly with each other as they were in a community group together. In the summer of 2024, Annie worked in Colorado Springs and reconnected with Trent during a visit to Horn Creek to see Isabel Ashley. Annie and Trent set a date to go out for drinks, and got to hang out a few times as friends before the summer came to a close. At the end of summer 2024, Annie accepted a full time job at Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, CO, and moved out from North Carolina. During that transitional period, Annie and Trent started hanging out a bunch. The two went out for about a month before Trent made it official on October 7, 2024. Annie and Trent quickly grew close together, and are the epitome of "when you know, you know." Trent proposed on April 5, 2025, where they had their first date in Westcliffe, CO. The two cannot wait to spend their lives together!
