Will we have to follow CDC Guidelines?

Answer

Yes. At this time we are required to practice social distancing and wear a mask at all times except when eating or drinking. It would be great to see everyone with a mask to match their outfit. Wash your hands often and for no less than 20 seconds. Practice social distancing and the use of hand sanitizer. If you are experiencing any type of illness or COVID-19 symptoms please remain at home. We love you all and are not responsible for any injury or illness during this Pandemic.

Are kids invited to the wedding?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! The venue and guest list is not able to accommodate children.

Can I bring a date/extra person?

Answer

If the invitation says “and Guest,” then Yes. If not, we hope you understand that it is just you.

Are there any colors you would prefer us not to wear?

Answer

Yes, please do not wear purple or any variation of the shade, silver, and white or any variation of white to include colors with a white background.

Is there a dress code?

We hope our wedding will be a fun excuse to wear your favorite formal attire!

When do I/We need to RSVP by?

Answer

We’d love to know if you can make it (we hope you can!). Please RSVP by July 1, 2020 via our RSVP section on this site.

What time should guests arrive?

Answer

Guests should be seated no later than 5:30pm. We would like to start the ceremony on time.

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are registered with Zola for the Honeymoon due to our house is complete.

Do you have a room block?

Answer

Unfortunately, we do not. Due to it being Cherry Blossom season we were not able to secure a room block. So get your hotel room early.

Will parking be available?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking at the venue.

Will shuttle services be available?

Answer

Unfortunately, shuttle service is not available from the Sheraton. You will have to drive to the venue. The Comfort Inn shares a parking lot with the venue.

What if I have food restrictions?

Answer

We have made sure to have a menu that will accommodate those who eat meat, are vegan or vegetarian, and have nut allergies.

Will the ceremony be taking place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and all events following will be inside. However, in April the weather is very iffy so please bring a shawl or sweater if you think you will be cold walking to and from the building.

What time is the reception scheduled to end?

Answer

The reception will end promptly at 10:00 pm. You are more than welcome to hang out at your hotel afterwards or hit the town after we have finished celebrating.

Can I take pictures and/or post photos of your wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we would love to see the pictures that our guests take. Please use the #TheSmithElement when posting pictures. Please make sure to tag both George and I on all pictures.

What if I am no longer able to attend after I have RSVP'd that I/We will be able to attend?

Answer

Please update your response through the website or let George and I know directly as soon as your availability has changed.
