We want to keep everything fun and bright! We ask that everyone come in semi-formal attire (Ladies: midi-maxi dresses, jumpsuits. Gentlemen: Suit with a suit jacket and a tie or bow-tie *you are welcome to take off the suit jacket after the ceremony) Please avoid dark or neutral colors like black, brown, grey, beige, navy, etc. as we would like to keep things colorful. No need to buy a colored suit if you don't want to, as lighter grey or navy suits will work fine. Please avoid black. See the Pinterest board on the "Schedule" tab for inspiration and guidance. For the gentlemen: Some extra inspiration may include colored and patterned button-down shirt, fun patterned ties, and bright socks or even shoes.
We understand this is likely a vacation for many of you. We ask that you arrive in Naxos by the 14th of June, and you are welcome to leave and travel as you please on the 17th. Please see the "Things To Do" tab for suggestions of Naxos activities.
As the ceremony will be directly on Plaka Beach in the same vicinity as the dinner/reception venue. Transportation will be taken care of by us to get to and from the ceremony. If you would like to keep the party going after the reception, we recommend renting a car or pre-booking a taxi.
We totally get that sand can be pesky to get out of clothing. You are absolutely welcome to take your shoes off for the ceremony, although this may be easier for the women than men with dress shoes. Ladies: When choosing shoes to wear, remember that thin heels are more likely to sink into sand, and close-toed shoes will make it harder to get rid of sand. You may find an open-toed chunky heel or sandal to be more appropriate.
European outlets are different from the ones we have in the States. In Greece, you will find Type C and Type F outlets, so be prepared to buy an adapter to plug in your devices. The Greek islands are known for being very windy as well, so plan to bring some light jackets, have shorts underneath dresses, and have hair ties/hats at the ready. Sunscreen will definitely be needed, but Greek drugstores are known to have wonderful skincare options, so you can choose to buy some when you get there.
