A Taste of Our World

Kendal's Bees

This honey flight is a selection of local California honey, from a local beekeeping company, Kendal's Bees, that represents significant locations in our lives. This token of appreciation is our way of saying thank you for being a part of our lives; a wedding favor without all the airfare and stuffy dress up.

Redwood City

Travis

Redwood City is where Travis first moved to California, started at Dreamworks Animation, and finally understood what it felt like to be completely comfortable and immersed in a place. Its claim to fame is the international study that established Redwood City to have the best climate in the entire world. Travis spent countless nights in the downtown area with his friends celebrating promotions, birthdays, and other milestones, or commiserating after a tough day.

Emeryville

Laura

Emeryville was where Laura first moved to California. She moved into a beautiful apartment with Sara and fell in love with the 2 sq. mile city. Snuggled between Oakland and Berkeley, Emeryville was full of artistic events and community gatherings, while being only moments away from the lively night life of Oakland and the youthful bustle of Berkeley. While living in Emeryville, Laura hoped to make friends with Pixar employees, but didn't quite succeed. She instead met a bunch of other creatives while working as a party princess, dressing up as popular characters and entertaining children at big events.

Mountain View

Laura + Travis

After living abroad for a while, the siren call of "home" dragged them back to the United States. They moved to Mountain View, home of Google, where they currently live. Travis worked for several Silicon Valley startups, taking part in the tech world they had lived around for so long. He now works at Lucasfilm, suffering a long commute to be able to work on virtual reality Star Wars projects. And Laura started working in the custom framing business, finding her place in a bespoke frame shop that satisfies both her creative and technical sides. They got married here, under a beautiful tree on a warm summer day, and continue to grow their lives together here.
