Wedding Party

Lauren Perrino

Bridesmaid

Since second grade Lauren and Kayla have had an unbreakable bond. With their imaginations and silliness in tow they would adventure to Fort Williams, grab ice cream at Reds, or have a beach day at Higgins. Kayla could always count on Lauren to have something fun planned and they'd spend the whole time laughing together in their own little world. Ask her about: The dream she had last night, Robin Pecknold, and skating (figure and roller!)

Peter Hazlett

Groomsman

Peter and Travis met on the football field and quickly became inseparable friends throughout their lives. From the Nomad, to hamburger-hot dogs, to White Russians at Bingas, to being one of the best roommates Travis could ask for, to showing him and his amazing wife DC, to entirely too many inside jokes to ever mention, Peter has been a constant source of stability, love, and laughter for Travis as long as he's been lucky to know him. Ask him about: Superman, his teeth collection (in D&D), and how the sauce is good too.

Chelsea Simcock

Bridesmaid

The first time Chelsea and Kayla met they had an immediate connection, and were half convinced they were long lost relatives. Chelsea suggested that Kayla get a job at Abacus, where she worked at the time, and started a few weeks later where their bond grew infinitely. Whether going to a happy hour at Sonny's, spending a day on the couch talking and watching reality tv, or going for a hike or a swim you could hear the echo of their identical laugh a mile away. Ask her about: Pizza club, the meat dealer, and Farkle.

Russ Ollis

Groomsman

Russ and Travis started at the same Portland consulting firm within a few weeks of each other and quickly became fast friends. Russ was the first one to encourage Travis to ask Kayla out. From watching college football with their pants off (not weird) after a rainy baseball game, to reading the town almanac of Solon, to road trips that must include stopping at every. single. college campus we come across, Russ was always willing to go on an adventure. Ask him about: NESCAC Lacrosse, the fastest dab in the world, and scenic overpasses.

Lisa Birmingham

Bridesmaid

Kayla and Lisa met while working together at Abacus during a busy and fun holiday season. They learned very quickly that they could talk to each other for hours about anything from their lives, politics, philosophy, you name it. This meant they would find themselves closing down one of their favorite happy hour spots or chatting well into the evening during a post-work beach trip. Ask her about: Zombie models, favorite martini spot, and ANY movie.

Bryan "BK" Kelsey

Groomsman

Travis first met BK at Amigos after applying for a consulting job in Portland, where BK was already working. Travis got the job and they bonded over their love of Amigos, pool, and union breaks. When Travis moved down to DC, BK was already there with open arms and helped reintroduce him to the wonderful city that it is. From late night cocktails and heated debates, to helping move multiple apartments, and plenty of football games, BK has been a consistent source of friendship. Ask him about: Rural China, military aircraft (real and fictional), and his 40 time.

Rachel Mageles

Bridesmaid

Kayla and Rachel realized they were the same kind of weird when they played together in kindergarten. As they grew up that never changed and by the time they were in high school they had created a cast of characters with back stories and voices that they still bring to life when they're around each other. Rachel could bring the loudest belly laughs out of Kayla with just a look or a phrase. Ask her about: Potty Lid, bubble tea, and drawing.

Philip Thaxter

Groomsman

Phil and Travis met in high school, and their friendship grew into adulthood when Travis would visit home while on leave. From cookies at Amigos, to moving a couch down a ladder, to the 'nice glasses,' to delivering pizza together, and also being one of the best roommates ever, Phil has always been there ready for a good time. Ask him about: Kevin Costner, fish sticks, and The FP.

Greer Stickney

Bridesmaid

Nobody could throw a tea party quite like Greer and it was one of the most fun traditions we had growing up. Kayla could count on Greer to appreciate her weird sense of humor and would quickly match it with her own. Whether an adventure at the beach or a cozy night in Greer always made the energy fun and inviting. Ask her about: Funboy, New Zealand, and dance.

Andrew Maloney

Groomsman

The reason Kayla and Travis first met. Andrew hired them both and has been a close friend ever since. From doing entirely too many pre-noon shots watching the World Cup, to introducing Travis to RedZone, to Vegas trips, to the creation of a fantasy football league, Andrew has always been willing to try and find the perfect sports bar. Ask him about: Maine beer, Nic Cage, and the spread.

Queen Dory

In Memory: January 19, 2006 - September 8, 2024

Kayla brought Dory home on September 13, 2013 just a few weeks after moving into her first apartment in Portland. Dory was 7 years old, very grumpy, and shy but Kayla was instantly in love. It took a long time for her warm and cuddly side to emerge but when it did it brought nightly snuggles, play time, and belly rubs. Contrary to popular belief, Travis and Dory bonded over the years too and you could find him giving her pets and snuggles at any time. To Kayla's surprise she even learned to tolerate Asha who just wanted to be her friend. Kayla, Travis, and Asha miss Dory very much.

Asha "Bean Bag Chair" Horr

Good Girl

Travis adopted Asha in 2012 and she has brought constant joy and love to his life. She has been with him through multiple states (and one district), jobs, and apartments. No matter where they were, what they were doing, or how they were doing, Asha always greets Travis the same way with her little tail wagging and ready to be the ultimate couch nap partner. Kayla and Asha quickly bonded and is now just as excited to see and nap with Kayla as she is with Travis.

Cameron Fegers

Officiant

Travis and Cameron first met while interning on a campaign in Maine, and while they weren't able to spend much time together in the chaos of a Get Out the Vote week, they later reconnected after Travis moved back to Maine and Cameron helped him get a job (at the consulting firm mentioned many times above). Cameron eventually moved down to DC (well, Arlington...) and Travis and Kayla were happy to see another friend move down and join Beacon South. Cameron is always down to play a board game, watch sports, or just hang out and has been a close and dear friend to the couple for as long as they have been together. Ask him about: board games, Star Trek, and his parlay.
