Alyson and Travis originally met through the app Bumble. After a few days of messaging back and forth, they agreed to get together for a small date which included a bite to eat and hanging around the Little Elm Beach Park throwing a frisbee and talking. They connected immediately on that first date and even went on two more dates the following two days! 3 dates in 3 days and on the third date Travis asked Alyson if she wanted to be official with him. From there the relationship flourished as they spent every moment they could for the remainder of the summer. Alyson and Travis both share a love for the outdoors/fitness and would spend a lot of their time together going to parks to run, hike, throw around a frisbee like their first date, or even lay around in a hammock. After all summer together, it was time for Alyson to return back to OKC. With 3 more semesters left which meant part of their relationship was going to be “long” distance, a 2.5-hour drive between them. That short drive didn’t hinder their relationship in the slightest and it was during the long-distance portion that they took a trip together to Sedona, Arizona. It was a trip full of beautiful hikes and on this trip, Travis gave Alyson a promise ring to let her know that he was hers no matter what and when the time is right, he would make her his wife. Alyson went on to finish school in OKC and then moved in with Travis back in Dallas. After about a year of living together, Travis felt it was time to marry Alyson, so he got to planning a 3-day weekend getaway trip to Fredericksburg, Texas, the hill and wine country. Part of this trip was a stop at a peach orchard and country shop called Das Peach Haus. It was by the lake in front of the peach orchard that Travis proposed to Alyson. Alyson was shaking her head yes before Travis even finished his speech. Alyson didn’t know it, at least not right away, but Travis had a photographer that met them there and the photographer captured the whole moment.
