The first time Jared and I met was on Friday, November 26th 2021. Our new, mutual friend, Rachel, invited both of us to our beloved, neighborhood bar, Skellig. It was definitely not what you would imagine as our first interaction as we both were waiting on a date to arrive. His showed up, mine did not. So needless to say, we did not leave the bar that night with each others numbers. However, thanks to Rachel bringing us back for a happy hour, and Hinge for matching us together, we slowly struck a flirtatious relationship for the next few months. Neither of us making the next move until we invited Jared to join our Hilton Head trip, and he bought his flight on the spot. Even in Hilton Head we continued our flirting friendship, neither of us making the next move until the last night, Jared finally asked me on a date. Our first date took place a few days later, and I think we both knew this was going to be our last first date we would ever go on. It might have taken 6 months to get the courage for one of us to make the first step, but the moment we knew we both liked each other, we became inseparable. Since that first date in May, we have prioritized growing our relationship with one another. We have spent many weekends traveling and getting to make new memories and experiences together. We are so grateful for each one of our family and friends who have developed us into the people we are today. We cannot wait to have you all here on this special weekend to help us celebrate our love. We started out as strangers, and now we are best friends committing to spend the rest of our lives together.
