At this time, we are only able to invite immediate family and a few close friends who will be in our wedding party. For those who do not know, Travis was hospitalized in January 2023 with renal failure. His doctors told us it is a 3 to 5 year wait for a new kidney, and that we could get the call to go to the hospital at any time. We would hate to plan a large-scale event only to have to cancel it at the last minute. We also do not wish to wait any longer to be husband and wife. We are tentatively planning an anniversary party a few years from now when we can celebrate with as many of you as we want to. We love all of you and hope you understand why we've had to make this decision!
Yes! We have what we need to start our life together as a married couple, but we have placed a few sentimental items on the registry located at the top of the page. If you feel so compelled, there are a few cash funds to contribute to things like our dream honeymoon, a new kidney for Travis, and a house to one day call home.
Our venue does not allow for alcohol on the premises. We will be serving water, sodas, and sparkling non-alcoholic alternatives, and kindly ask that no one brings alcohol themselves.
There will be no seats or bride/groom sides at our beach ceremony, but please still leave room for an aisle! We understand that some of our guests may have mobility issues, and kindly ask that they be the only ones to bring their own beach chairs if they feel it is necessary. Should the weather force the ceremony inside, we will be able to use chairs that must stay inside the plaza.
Beach semi-formal or cocktail attire--no shorts and sandals please! Do keep in mind that you might be walking through sand, so maybe skip the stilettos.
We'll be serving some hearty snacks a la chicken nuggets, some homemade dips, and other small items. There will also be cake and brownies!
