Are kids invited?

Answer

The resort is family-friendly and kids are allowed. Please bring them if you feel like doing so.

Is there a shuttle to and from the hotel from the airport?

Answer

Yes, please contact our travel agent to set this up with your airfare.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says "and Guest" and they feel like traveling with you, then yes. If not, we would prefer if it was just you.

What's the dress code?

Answer

For our ceremony, please dress in beachy casual attire. Keep in mind, it will be in the hot and the dry season of Costa Rica; dress accordingly.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Sunny days and clear nights. Costa Rica's dry season runs from December to March. Expect and plan for some rain, but hope for all sunny days! The average temperature in Costa Rica during the month of March is between 86-96° F.

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony will be on the beach and the cocktail hour and reception will be in the conference terrace.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Family formals will be taken, and then we will have a cocktail hour immediately following. Our private dinner at one of the restaurant's will be after that.

When should I arrive and depart?

Answer

We would appreciate it if our guests arrived at least 1 day before our wedding and stayed 1 day prior.

Do you have a block of rooms reserved?

Answer

Please contact our travel agent Deb to get set up within our reservation.

Will we have to pay for food and drinks?

Answer

Our resort we chose is an all-inclusive which means as soon as you land and check in, your drinks and meals will be covered with your stay. If you have any dietary restrictions, please communicate that with the resort staff to make sure you are accommodated.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes! We encourage our guests to post pictures to their social media channels. Our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #LaVidaLahr so we can keep track of all your pictures!

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are not registered anywhere for our wedding. If you feel the need to give us a gift, we kindly ask that you donate to our honeymoon fund. We truly have everything we can think of and your presence is enough for us.

Do I have to stay at Riu Palace or can I stay at a different resort nearby?

Answer

You are welcome to stay wherever you feel comfortable however, please keep in mind that the ceremony and reception are taking place at Hotel Riu Palace. If you decide to stay elsewhere, the resort requires you to purchase a day pass to attend our wedding and any other day that you would visit. The price is up to the resorts discretion.

How long are we staying?

Answer

Travis and I plan to get to Costa Rica 6-7 days prior to our wedding and staying through the weekend.

What about this after party I keep hearing about?

Answer

For the guests that cannot make it to our wedding in Costa Rica, we are having a celebration in MN following the wedding at La Dona Brewery in Minneapolis. They have food and beverage in house.
