They were both lost trying to find the room where their "new hire" orientation was being held. Lisa walked down the wrong hallway and turned around and noticed Myles was doing the same thing. She then asked him if he was lost trying to find Room X, they introduced themselves to one another, talked for a minute or so before they found the room and sat at opposite sides of the room. After the orientation was over Lisa ran back up to her office to continue working. Myles was interested in getting to know Lisa so he went on the staff directory and found a girl named Lisa in Regulatory and messaged her. It has been history ever since!

You mostly hear negative stories surrounding COVID, but theirs is a love story. Due to COVID sending everyone to work from home Myles and Lisa decided to move to Hobbs, NM, where Myles is from, to renovate Myles' Duplex. Through tearing apart the bathroom, kitchen and floors, sleeping on air mattresses and showering with a water hose outside, they endured it all! Even working for over a year together on the same six-foot $40 fold out table they were still in love with each other and grew closer each day.

Lisa and Myles went camping in Queen, NM the location of their original first date. Myles had several ideas on how he was going to ask Lisa, from going on a hike to their first hiking spot, from hiding the ring in a geode ring box, from tying the ring on a tree branch, but something got in the way each time...Lisa. After around seven attempts not working out in Queen it was time for the couple to head back home. On the way back home Myles had three more plans, the first two of which didn't work out either. BUT he decided to go back to the place where he would go to get away years ago and where they would go to get away when living in Hobbs, outside of Carlsbad, NM. He went down on one knee and asked Lisa to marry him and of course she said Yes!

Myles has decided to go back to school, to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He has also accepted a position in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Upon graduation he plans to become an Emergency Room Nurse. Lisa is working at EOG Resources, Inc. as a Regulatory Specialist. The couple also aspire to continue their education, so more to come in the near future! The couple appreciates all the love and support from their family and friends.
