Shawn and Tram swiped right on March 17, 2017. Tram was a first year physical therapy graduate student while Shawn was in his second year of working full time. They went on their first date on May 10, 2017 (yes, she made him wait 2 months before meeting up in person) at the Philadelphia Zoo and the rest was history.

After 4.5 years of dating, Shawn decided it was time to plan the big surprise proposal. He got down on one knee in front of family and close friends and she said "yes" on November 6, 2021. They went on to officially celebrate their engagement with a traditional ceremony with both families and friends present on September 10, 2022.
