About 40 minutes away by train or taxi, Freiburg is a relaxed university town with a historic center. Highlights include the Freiburg Minster, the daily market on Münsterplatz, and the small canals running through the Altstadt. For a view over the city and nearby hills, you can climb or take the funicular up Schlossberg.
