On September 11, 2023, in the heart of bustling Ho Chi Minh City, she thought they were heading out for a chill dinner with a couple of friends—nothing fancy, maybe some spring rolls, a bit of gossip. But nope. Plans mysteriously changed, and she was told to head home instead. Mildly annoyed (and probably already hangry), she walked through the door... And boom—there he was. Down on one knee. Eyes all sparkly. The room looking like a Pinterest dream—candlelight flickering, red roses everywhere, and the delicious aroma of a private-chef-cooked dinner floating through the air. Total surprise proposal, 10/10 on the romance scale. Just when she thought she’d seen it all, the chef casually walked out of the bedroom (yes, the bedroom—because where else do private chefs hang out mid-proposal?), followed by their four-legged fur child, Gio. Tail wagging, eyes wide, probably thinking, “What is going on and where’s my treat?”—but fully supportive of the life-changing moment happening in front of him. Spoiler alert: she said yes. 💍✨
