Formal or Black Tie Optional Women: Floor-length gown, knee-length cocktail dress or dressy separates Men: Suit and Tie or Tuxedo

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation envelope says "and Guest," then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you. Additionally, when each guest provides an RSVP, the system will allow you to either include details for you and your guest or simply yourself.

Are kids invited?

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off so the kids will miss out!

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

We kindly request an unplugged ceremony. The greatest gift you can give us today is to be truly present, so please turn off all phones and cameras and enjoy this special moment with us. Now, at the reception, feel free to take as many pictures. And when you post, be sure to tag us #RodgersThat2023

What are the parking options?

Answer

Ceremony (First African Baptist Church) - There is parking lot available on the church property and another lot across from the church (Clifton Avenue + Laurel Road). Street parking is very limited. Please plan to arrive no later than 4:45pm to secure parking and get seated for the wedding ceremony. Reception (Ballroom at the Ben) - To make things easy for guests, the couple has paid for use of the parking lot directly across from the reception location. Guests may access this parking lot up to one hour before the reception. Guests are encouraged to carpool and/or use car service such as Lyft/Uber to ease travel between the ceremony and reception locations.
