Invited by a mutual friend, Tracy went to a local dive bar, the Swiss Buda, for a poker meet-up group. She hadn't played a lot of poker before, so as beginner's luck would have it, she began winning! And when Tracy gets excited, everybody knows! As fate would have it, it was a very lucky night for both Jim and Tracy! Jim liked Tracy's enthusiasm, and introduced himself to her on the way out. Within a few weeks, they were getting together regularly for dancing, drinks, a picnic – really, just about any excuse you could think of. Things were looking up!

The thirty-first of August, 2022 was clear and pleasant in Paris, and Tracy and Jim rode up the Eiffel Tower at 11:00 pm. The lights of Paris spread out below, reflected on the waters of the Seine. The breeze was just cool enough to keep them huddled close together. In his pocket, Jim had his late mother's diamond engagement ring. His sisters had given him the ring, hoping that he might propose to Tracy. With their blessing, he did. Tracy said yes!
