Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Tracy George and Dan Croisant
We absolutely LOVE living in Asheville—nestled among the Blue Ridge Mountains—and we know you'll love it here too! Perhaps you'd like to take advantage of the oldest mountain range in the world and take a waterfall hike while you're here, or enjoy a drive (or bike ride) along the gorgeous Blue Ridge Parkway, or enjoy some of the world's best craft beer, coffee and restaurants. Most of all, we are grateful to host you in this resilient city that has worked hard and long to recover from Hurricane Helene (September 2024). Your support of this community will certainly be felt as you visit the local shops and businesses. Thank you for being here!

5 Walnut Wine Bar

5 West Walnut Street, Asheville, NC 28801

A sweet little wine bar in downtown Asheville where we had our first date.

All Day Darling

102 Montford Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801

One of Tracy's favorite spots to eat in town, with lovely outdoor seating.

Ginger's Revenge

829 Riverside Drive, Asheville, NC 28801

Home to the best craft alcoholic ginger beer.

Zillicoah Beer Co.

870 Riverside Drive, Woodfin, NC 28804

Our favorite open-air riverside brewery. Enjoy the amazing food trucks, great beverages, and riverside atmosphere. They made an incredible recovery after being completely destroyed during Hurricane Helene!

UNCA Farmers' Market

275 Edgewood Rd, Parking Lot P28, Asheville, NC 28804

Visit this wonderful farmers' market (known as a "tailgate market" in Asheville) on Saturday morning 8am-12pm on UNCA's campus (where Tracy and Dan met!). There's just enough time to visit the market before our 10am pre-wedding workout in Carrier Park!

River Arts District

Asheville, NC

Stroll Asheville's beloved River Arts District (RAD), full of breweries, restaurants, and art galleries. Much of this area was destroyed during Hurricane Helene; you will see some of these impacts, and also the strength and resilience of the RAD's recovery since.

East Fork Asheville

15 West Walnut Street, Asheville, NC 28801

Famous Asheville pottery we love dearly!

Mountains-to-Sea Trail Hike

382 Blue Ridge Parkway, Asheville, NC 28805

A punchy (a.k.a. steep) hike with gorgeous views that starts at the Folk Art Center on the Blue Ridge Parkway. One of our favorites!

Bent Creek Experimental Forest

1298 491, Asheville, NC 28806

One of our favorite places to hike and mountain bike. Bring a small backpack to carry water, snacks, sunscreen, hat, phone, wallet.

The North Carolina Arboretum

20 Frederick Law Olmsted Way, Asheville, NC 28806

Did you know that Western North Carolina is the most biodiverse region of the continental United States? Check out what this gorgeous area has to offer at the renowned NC Arborteum.

An accessible, flat 5-mile loop trail winding through our beautiful Pisgah National Forest.
