A folded up note gets passed to me in the 5th grade, one that started our journey. I checked the "yes" box, committing to holding hands as we walked to the school bus and awkward conversations on my obnoxious pink landline phone. Little did I know, we would date through high school until college and the military parted us for quite a few years. We never drifted too far apart, always reconnecting over holiday visits home and calls to "catch up on life". Dan took the plunge and moved to North Carolina three years ago and the rest is history!

The big day started with a bike ride through Celano, Italy; exploring the mountainous roads that lead to the majestic castle in the center of the breathtaking town. So much history and beauty- we stopped to take a touristy picture in the center of the castle. He dropped to one knee and I gasped for a breath- who knows what he actually said. It's all a blur, but I did scream "Si!!", when I came back to reality! We spent the remainder of our time in Italy and Spain on cloud 9 traveling with family!
