Purgatory Resort

We’re so excited to celebrate with you at Purgatory in Durango! For your convenience, we encourage you to stay in the lodging at Purgatory Resort (the venue site) instead of the town of Durango. We also encourage you to book a room with friends and family. We recommend booking as quickly as possible as there are other events happening at the resort this weekend. As guests of the Trachta/Thomas Wedding, you qualify for discounted lodging at Purgatory Resort. When selecting a location from available options, please keep in mind Purgatory Lodge/Peregrine Point, Purgatory Village, and Sheol Street lodging are walking distance to the activities, including the welcome party (Thursday) and required shuttle to the ceremony site and reception venue (Friday). Selecting Cascade Village or Townhomes/Homes may require a short 3-5 minute drive to the Purgatory Resort base area. Remember, the discounted rate will show as you view available lodging. When you book your lodging you leave the Purg website so you will need to re-enter your CODE on checkout. (Check the box that says “I have a code.”)

American Airlines offers direct flights from DFW Airport to Durango La Plata County Airport.

Shuttle

Required Wedding Day Shuttle

September 12, 2025 3:00 pm

On the wedding day, the shuttle from the base of Purgatory Resort to the mountaintop ceremony and reception site at Dante's is required and departs at 3:10pm sharp. DO NOT BE LATE! Parking is not available for guests at the venue site. The shuttle will begin returning guests to the base throughout the night after dinner.
