San Diego Zoo
The world-famous zoo in Balboa Park (same area as our venue). A pair of pandas 🐼🐼 - the first to return & only ones expected in the US near-term, will arrive this summer.
Ocean Beach Farmer's Market
If you'll be here early on Wednesday, our neighborhood has a weekly farmer's market and street-food fair from ~5-9pm. Lots of good energy and it's on the street leading to the pier, about a 10 minute walk from our place.
Sunset Cliffs State Park
A beautiful state park with sun-soaked views and phenomenal sunsets. Has a walking path and is in a beautiful neighborhood; the homes can be as cool to look at as the ocean across the street.
Liberty Station
Lots to explore in terms of shops, cafes and public market in a converted navy building. Some of our favorite spots are Pigment, Stone Brewing, The Presley and Moniker General / Coffee.
Hotel del Coronado
Beautiful and historic hotel (once the largest in the world) right on Coronado Beach. Where much of the famous movie 'Some Like it Hot' was filmed. Check out the Sun Deck for drinks overlooking the beach and Marea for brunch.
Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve
An incredible state park with great hiking, along coastal cliffs with stunning views of the Pacific. We're biased but think this rivals some National Parks in terms of views and natural beauty. You'll pay a small fee for parking/entry.
Cabrillo National Monument
Part of the National Parks system (you'll need to pay to enter) with stunning overhead views of Coronado, San Diego, the eastern mountains, and the Pacific Ocean. Tons of hiking and exploring like the tide pools, but can equally be a drive-through for the views.

Coronado Beach
One of San Diego's most beautiful beaches.
Mission Beach
A beautiful beach in a lively neighborhood with a younger crowd. Walk, bike, or rollerblade the boardwalk between Pacific Beach and Mission Beach.
La Jolla Cove
Check out the seals and sea lions on the beautiful La Jolla Coast.
Cesarina Restaurant
Fantastic Italian food, specializing in homemade pasta. Note you'll need to make reservations 2+ weeks in advance and we recommend dining indoors if they have the option available.

More fantastic Italian food, sister restaurant to Cesarina. You'll need a reservation at least 1 week in advance. Roman-style pizza from a brick-fire oven. In our neighborhood!
