Daniel & Mark

Wedding Party

The Wedding Website of Daniel Graves and Mark LaPlante

Tyler Frankel

Best Woman

Tyler and Daniel met in law school at Texas Tech University. The two were in the same section during their first year and became fast friends during the first Halloween season of law school. Since then, the two have been very close and are now essentially neighbors! Tyler has been a huge supporter of not only Daniel, but also of Mark and Daniel as a couple.

Michael LaPlante

Best Man

Michael, better known as Mike, is Mark's older brother. Mark has looked up to his older brother since childhood when he would follow him around relentlessly. Despite being tormented the way little brothers often are. Mike has always been supportive and the kind of brother that would do anything for his siblings. Mark was Mike’s Best Man at his wedding and the perfect person to be standing next to Mark on his big day.

Ethan Glenn

Groomsman

Ethan and Daniel met at Texas Tech University School of Law. Despite Ethan's transfer to the University of Texas School of Law, the two have remained close over the years. Spring break trips, New Year's celebrations, and Daniel's work travels to Austin have helped the two stay close.

Melissa Lamberth

Matron of Honor

Melissa, Missy to her family, is Mark's oldest sibling. Mark and Missy became even closer when he enlisted in the Marine Corps. This resulted in many hour-long phone calls while he was stationed in Yuma, AZ. Missy was the first family member Mark came out to and has since been a constant support for everything he's done.

Jordan Engberg

Groomswoman

Jordan and Daniel have been friends since the first grade. They've been through a lot together: dance recitals, track meets, and freshman year of college. Despite the geographical distance between them, the two always manage to get together, relive the good ole days, and make new memories.

James Britt

Groomsman

James and Mark became friends through mutual friends 9 years ago. They spent many nights and many glasses (bottles) of wine bonding and discussing (complaining) about life and past relationships. James is always a text away and ready to be there anytime a friend is in need.

Aubrey Noonan

Groomswoman

While their paths crossed frequently in the early part of law school, Aubrey and Daniel really became friends in the gloomy basement of a law firm in Lubbock, Texas where they worked as law clerks. Aubrey is a ton of fun and a ride-or-die friend, which have kept the two close.

Sean McCune

Groomsman

Sean and Mark met through James around 6 years ago. Shortly after, Sean and his then fiancé Ryan invited Mark to their wedding in New York and the friendship grew that much stronger. The two have spent many wine and game nights laughing, dancing, and making fools of themselves. Sean can always be counted on for good wine, great conversation, and even better memories.

Casey Graves

Groomswoman

Casey is Daniel's older, and most definitely wiser, sister. An award-winning teacher in Tyler, Texas, Casey is known to all as a sincere sweetheart with a boisterous laugh that can help to lighten any mood or situation.

Amanda Creel

Groomswoman

Eleven years ago Mark discovered two of the greatest things in life: Chipotle and Amanda Creel. This happened when an ex took Mark to Chipotle to meet Amanda for the first time. Thankfully, she’s the one that stuck around. Whether a movie night or dinner at Mark and Daniel’s, eleven years later Amanda is still a constant source of laughter and support.

Justin Rogers

Groomsman

Justin and Daniel started out as workout buddies, grew into friends, and then quickly became roommates in Lubbock, Texas. Their time under one roof really brought them together. Justin's one of the best conversationalist known to man, and his social and outgoing attitude has helped make him a key philanthropist in the Dallas LGBTQ community.

Hunter Ross

Groomsman

Hunter and Mark met about 11 years ago through Mark’s ex. Through many ups and downs in each other’s lives, they’ve always stayed friends. Even with all the light-hearted, social media insults directed at each other, they still find time to get together and laugh over a drink... or seven.

Katherine Handy

Officiant

Katherine and Daniel became best friends at Abilene Christian University. When Katherine graduated early to go to Texas Tech University School of Law, she was a huge help in counseling Daniel to follow in her footsteps. In addition to being best friends, the two also did a stent as roommates in 2016 after Daniel took the Texas Bar Exam. Katherine and Mark met shortly after Daniel and Mark started dating. Since then, she's been a huge supporter of the happy couple. Daniel and Mark are thrilled to have her tie the knot between them on their special day.
