Flight
This is the best airport to fly into. Uber is very accessible from this airport at any time of day or night, but if you are returning to the airport via Uber you may want to schedule a ride in advance.
Travel Note
The wedding and reception are happening in Newport, KY. If you are traveling from out of town, we recommend a hotel or AirBNB in downtown Cincinnati OH, Covington KY, or Newport KY. We do not have blocks reserved at any hotels, but we have suggested a few hotels below.
Hotel
The Netherland Plaza is housed within the Carew Tower complex, close to Fountain Square. The Carew Tower complex was completed in 1931 and is described as a fine example of Art Deco architecture. It is even in the register of National Historic Landmarks! The Palm Court restaurant in the hotel is worth a visit for excellent food, beautiful architecture, and live music on weekends.
Hotel
Upscale hotel in the heart of downtown Cincinnati that doubles as a contemporary art museum/gallery on the first and second floor. The Metropole restaurant is on the ground floor and there is a rooftop bar with views of the Queen City. The 21C is next door to the Contemporary Arts Center, across the street from the Weston Gallery and the Aronoff Center, a block from Fountain Square, and is surrounded by restaurants and shops.
Hotel
Hotel Covington in Covington, KY is housed in a 1907 former department store surrounded by restaurants and shops. The Hotel Covington restaurant, Coppin's, is excellent and has been one of our repeat visits for anniversaries and birthdays.
