Passport & COVID -19

All guests will need a valid passport to travel to Guatemala. Please make sure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond our travel dates. This is a requirement for many countries, and having that extra buffer helps avoid any travel hiccups. If your passport is close to expiring, it is recommended to renew it as soon as possible—processing times can vary! Guatemala's Currency

Answer

The local currency is the Guatemalan Quetzal (GTQ). The current conversion rate is approximately: $1 USD = 7.7–8 GTQ (This may fluctuate slightly.) U.S. dollars are accepted in some places, but it is recommended using Quetzales for local purchases. Most major restaurants and hotels accept credit cards, but bring cash for markets and smaller vendors.
