Please arrive no later than 4:15 PM on the day of our wedding. We understand unforeseen delays could make you arrive late, but please do your best to be seated before we walk down the aisle at 4:30 PM.
Our ceremony will be held outdoors, on the front lawn, overlooking Narragansett Bay. If there is inclement weather, the ceremony will be held indoors.
This meteorologist would love to forecast a partly sunny day, low humidity, and temperatures in the low to middle-70s. That said, we all know how unpredictable weather can be. For a point of reference, the normal high temperature for June 3rd is 74°F. Though, it could be as hot as the record high set in 1943 of 95°F or as cool as the record coldest high set in 1945 of 55°F. At the end of the day, your trusted meteorologist will be updating the guest regarding the incoming weather for the weekend.
Our wedding would be considered cocktail formal. A small step above semi-formal, though not as formal as black-tie optional or black-tie, cocktail attire is a popular dress code choice. It's a balance between elegant and comfortable and typically more formal than a day wedding but more casual than a night celebration. Instead of a floor-length dress, women should opt for a tea-length, knee-length, or midi dress. Men are required to wear a suit and tie, regardless of the wedding's setting. Remember to look classy and polished, but don't wear something overly embellished or fancy that you take away from the newlyweds. And per Jared's request... no one is allowed to wear a three-piece suit!
In order to keep our guest list under our maximum, a plus one will be reserved for those who are married, engaged, or have been in a long-term relationship. Thank you for your understanding!
The simple answer is no unless specifically stated on your individual invitation. While we adore your children (most of them) this will be an adult wedding, with a few exceptions.
For dinner, there are three options; beef, chicken, and a chef special for those with dietary restrictions. And for the special little ones invited, there will be a children's meal offered too.
Beer and wine will be on us for the duration of cocktail hour and the first 30 minutes of the dinner service.
Yes. We will provide a buffet style of late-night snacks such as Mini NY System Wieners All the Way, Flat Bread Pizza, and Mini Sliders!
Yes, but will wait a few months before we take our honeymoon. As for where we are going, that is still to be determined.
This is something we are still pondering over ourselves. Once we have a clear answer, we will update this statement.
