Devin swears he remembers me even in the days of Blessing Daycare. He claims that one day his room (because of supervision shortage), got to "go up to the big kids room." You know, I'm considered a "big kid" because I'm 3 years, 1 months and 8 days older than him. He maintains that he remembers seeing me while we were watching Scooby Doo movie. Although I don't necessarily believe the validity of this, I like going along with the fact that we MAY have known each other since diapers. It wasn't until 2013 that I have any recollection of him but now, not many of my memories are without him. It all started with a Facebook post. In this day and age, social media is the start of many relationships. After posting a "LIKE FOR A RATE" post on Facebook, Devin had the audacity to give me a rating of "8." *GASPS* Seems unfair but down the line, Devin used his smooth talking to convince me that, "8 turned sideways is an infinity sign and 'I'm infinitely beautiful.'" The guy has always been cheesy and anyone who knows me, KNOWS that I am a SUCKER for cheesiness. Through lots of text messaging (and KIK - major throwback), late night phone calls, and (my personal favorite) love notes stuffed into my locker, we pretty much became inseparable. It's hard to say that when you're that young, that "when you know, you know" but in my mind, I had no doubts and I never have. One of the very first love letters Devin ever wrote me, he signed off by saying, "Love, your Future Husband" and since then, I've never looked back. After 6 years (that's 2,190 days of dating), Devin popped the question and now here we are! We are looking forward to adding October 17th, 2020 as another milestone in our book with one another.
