Both airports (Fiumicino and Ciampino) are about 30-45 minutes from the center of Rome, depending on traffic. Uber is not available in Rome except for Van/Lux/Black, which can be expensive. There are set taxi fares from both airports to the city center or any destination within the walls of Rome (50 EUR). To avoid scams, book a taxi through one of of the popular taxi apps (ItTaxi, FreeNow). There are also coach buses that will take you directly from the airport to Termini (the central train station) and, if coming in through Fiumicino, there is a train shuttle available including an express train to Termini for 14 EUR one way, or a slightly slower, but less-expensive (8 EUR) city train that stops at various stations throughout the city (Trastevere, Ostiense, Tiburtina, etc.).

We are not having a hotel wedding block as it's not common to do this in Italy and we'd rather people find a place that suits their budget, timeline, and other needs. Below are hotels across budgets that have been recommended by our wedding planner. The welcome party is at Hotel Locarno. The wedding venue, Villa Aurelia, does not have rooms for stay, but there are plenty of hotels nearby. Feel free to check out other sites like AirBNB if that is more your style. We do recommend that you avoid the Termini station area when choosing accommodations as it is often a little iffy at night. We highly encourage anyone planning to attend to book accommodations and travel as early as possible due to the 2025 Jubilee.
