I met Korey freshman year of college and he’s been a large part of my life ever since. I truly believe he’s the reason I stuck with getting my engineering degree. When I was challenged with maintaining good grades and was ready to give it all up he was there to guide me through the classes I was struggling with. That can-do attitude is what created our friendship and what continues to define it. I can honestly say that I wouldn’t be the man I am today had I not met Korey.

I met Danny about 3 years ago. Danny is the kind of guy who will give you the shirt off his back at the drop of a hat. A man’s man of sorts, he’s dependable, handy, opinionated, and always ready to have a good time. Although he is a recent addition to Tori and I’s friend group, Danny has become an important part of our lives.

Lindsay and I aren't related but she is basically a little sister. Having her in my life is like shining a light on all the little things that make you laugh. Always the life of the party I met Lee my sophomore year of college when we got a assigned to the same dorm room. I credit Lee for me being as extroverted as I am now, he was always hanging out with this person or going out with that person. Even while he's living on the West Coast, I stay true to his example.

When I met Monica, she was REALLY skeptical of me. I was the girl that her best friend fell in love with. She said she didn't like northerners and that she was hard to win over. Well, 5 years later, I love you so much. You are a confidant and good advice. I'm so glad you gave me a chance. From the Groom: Monica and I met when we were 15 and have been friends ever since. We followed each other to the same college where our friendship only grew. We've been there for each other through the highs and lows of our late teens and early twenty's. I consider her to be my big sister as she has motivated and supported me for the last 12 years.

I’ve known Mr. West longer than I anyone in the groomsman party. We met in Highschool and it’s been a whirlwind ever since. Through Highschool, College, and up until recently (when he moved to the west coast) John has never been more then a 20min drive away. There’s no mistaking the fact that we’ve grown up together. We’ve been there for each other through the best and worst times. He’s my longest friend and I have no intention of letting him break that streak.

Eric and I met in the apartment complex I lived in my junior year of college. After realizing how many hobbies we shared, friendship was second nature. I’ve yet to have a dull moment with Eric, he always knows how to fill the dull moments with interesting and thoughtful conversations and activities. Some of these activities and conversations include our mutual love for hiking, craft beer, cars and gaming.

Pieter was yet another freshman year friend. I ended up living with Pieter for a year during college and we bonded over cars and homework. We stayed friends through school. My Father was my role model and mentor. He taught me patience, perseverance, and how to be a man. His love for the outdoors quickly became one of my loves as well. Growing up he was my hiking, biking and kayaking partner; always pushing us to go further than the last time or explore new and exciting places. He also taught me that it’s never too late to try something new and get out of your comfort zone, and that you will come out of it stronger and more well-rounded. That drive to better yourself has become an integral part of who I am today.
