Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Luray is known as the Cabin Capitol of Virginia! For this reason, we do not have a hotel block. Instead, we recommend renting a cabin or home to stay in. Check out our "Accommodations" tab for more information.

Which major airport is closest to your venue?

Answer

The nearest major airport to Luray is Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), which is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes (80 miles) away.

Can I bring my children?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, this will be an adults-only (18+) celebration. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

In response to COVID-19, our venue has a limited capacity, which means we are sadly unable to accommodate additional guests who are not listed on your formal invitation. We look forward to celebrating with you on the day!

Is there a dress code? What should I wear?

Answer

Yes, the dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. We ask that men wear suits (with or without jackets - your preference) and that ladies wear dresses or pantsuits. Please avoid wearing ivory or white, as that is strictly reserved for the bride.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

You can definitely expect heat on Virginia summer days! The Shenandoah Valley typically cools down in the evening though, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms late in the day. Consider bringing an umbrella in case we are showered with extra wedding day luck in the form of rain!

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible by clicking on RSVP at the top of this page and replying “will not attend,” so we can plan accordingly.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than June 11th. It’s quick and easy! Just visit the “RSVP” tab on this website and follow the prompts. If you received a physical RSVP card with your invitation, you may submit your response to us whichever way you prefer.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00pm. We recommend that you arrive about a half an hour prior to the start of the ceremony to make sure we can get the party started as scheduled!

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

All parts of our wedding day (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception) will be held at Faithbrooke Barn & Vineyards. The address for Faithbrooke is 267 Elgin Drive, Luray, VA 22835.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors. Our reception will be held indoors. However, the outdoor space will remain available throughout the reception if you choose to use it!

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Faithbrooke has its own parking lot in close proximity to the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception with plenty of parking for guests. There is no charge for parking.

When do cars need to be out of the Faithbrooke parking lot? Can I leave my vehicle overnight?

Answer

We have access to Faithbrooke for a few hours on Monday morning, July 12. So, if you’ve partied a bit too hard on Sunday night, just hitch a ride with a friend and come back by 10:00am the next day to pick up your car. It will be there waiting for you!

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes! Each main event space within the venue, as well as the restrooms, are wheelchair accessible. The only area that is not wheelchair accessible is the indoor loft, which will not hold any main events.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the couple and wedding party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests will be directed to the patio for the cocktail hour, where appetizers and beverages will be served.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception?

Answer

Yes! There will be a full dinner served at the reception, along with assorted alcoholic beverages, water, tea, and lemonade.

Will there be any vegan/ vegetarian/ gluten free/ special diet options?

Answer

Our catering company can accommodate any of these dietary restrictions. If one of these applies to you, please be sure to make a note of it on your RSVP!

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We will be having an unplugged ceremony, meaning our photographer will take all the photos we need so you can enjoy being in the moment with us during this special time. However, we encourage you to take pictures from the cocktail hour and reception and post them on social media to your heart's content! Our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #foreverfieldday so we can keep track of all of your pictures. While you're at it, go ahead and follow #foreverfieldtrip also to keep up with our honeymoon adventures!

May I take a centerpiece/ candle/ flowers home as a souvenir?

Answer

Why, thank you for asking! Please do not take any centerpieces, florals, or other decor home with you, as some of these items are “something borrowed” and are not ours to give.

Do you have a gift registry? If so, where are you registered?

Answer

Yes, we do! Click on the “Registry” tab at the top of this website to see all of our registry items in one place. If you would prefer to purchase a registry item from a brick and mortar location, we are registered at Target and Bed Bath & Beyond.

What safety precautions will be in place regarding COVID-19?

Answer

The health and safety of everyone involved in our big day is a priority to us! We will be following precautions set in place by the CDC, the State of Virginia, and Faithbrooke Barn & Vineyards (our venue). Because the nature of COVID-19 is ever-changing, more detailed information will be posted on signs around our venue as well as communicated with you by our vendor team and venue staff at the wedding. Please bring a mask with you to use when/where necessary.
