Although the wedding is in a beach town, it will not take place on the beach or be "beachy" or casual. The wedding attire is formal. Women should wear formal dresses and men should wear a suit and tie or tuxedo. I have created a Pinterest board with examples of attire for the wedding: https://pin.it/732bdi7el6am52 (copy this link into your search bar - not google search)
The average temperature in Rosemary Beach, FL in October is a high of 81 degrees and a low of 63 degrees.
While we do love your little ones, our wedding is a formal, adult-only event (18 & over) so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We apologize for the inconvenience, and we appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time. If necessary, we can help connect you to local babysitters to watch your children during the adult-only events.
The RSVP deadline is one month out from the wedding: September 17. You must mail in the RSVP to be accounted for. Please do not text, call, or email your response, as these will get lost and you may not have a seat.
The wedding is RSVP only, and we will only be able to accommodate those with names specifically listed on your invitation.
There is more information about travel and hotel accommodations in the “Travel” section of the website. The majority of the wedding events will be walking distance, so we highly encourage you to stay in Rosemary Beach. There is a code for you to directly book a home within Rosemary Beach that you can find in the Travel section on this site. There will also be a block of condos at The Pointe — more information to come. If you book an Air BNB or through VRBO, we encourage you to book in Rosemary Beach so you are near the action. Other places to consider that are still very close are Alys Beach and Inlet Beach — outside of those, other areas will be far from Rosemary and traffic on 30A can be bad.
The ceremony is located on the Western Green in Rosemary Beach which is the green lawn outside of The Pearl Hotel: 63 Main St, Rosemary Beach, FL 32461. The reception is located on the St. Augustine Green: North Barrett Sq Rosemary Beach, Florida 32461. The reception is walking distance from the ceremony.
We recommend that you arrive to the ceremony location an hour (30 minutes minimum) before the start of the ceremony to ensure everyone is on time, and we can get the party started as scheduled. There are several nearby places to grab a drink as you wait. We recommend The Pearl Hotel's rooftop bar!
We recommend that guests stay near Rosemary Beach so that the whole weekend is walking distance. However, if you do choose to drive, there is free street parking along Main Street. If possible, we recommend using a rideshare service such as Uber or Lyft.
Both the ceremony and reception will be outdoors. The reception will be hosted underneath a tent, and if weather is bad, the ceremony will also have a back-up tent for coverage.
We are having an unplugged ceremony, so we ask that you turn off your phone, iPad, tablet, and camera during the ceremony. We have hired a photographer to take these photos, and having guest's phones or cameras captured in the shot ruins the image and often blocks important elements we would like to capture on our special day. However, we DO encourage guests to take pictures before the ceremony, after the ceremony, and throughout the reception with our hashtag: #schachedtobeamohn and (if applicable) a tag if we are in the photo: @torischach and @sandermohn so that we can keep track of all of the pictures and refer to them for years to come!
After the ceremony, guests will be led to the reception as the wedding party takes pictures nearby. At the reception, there will be a cocktail hour with specialty cocktails, beer, wine, and light bites. After the cocktail hour, there will be dinner, speeches, and dancing until 10 PM. An after-party will take place at Shades Bar & Grill.
There are several events throughout the weekend that we’d love for you to join, however, Saturday’s events are the only requirement. Sander and I will be arriving in Rosemary Beach earlier in the week, and we will likely spend time on the beach both Wednesday and Thursday. We’d love for friends and family to join if you are in town! On Friday evening, October 16, we will be having a bonfire Welcome Party on the beach that all guests are invited to. There will be more information on the invitation and on the website closer to the wedding date. After the reception ends Saturday night at 10 PM, we will make our way to Shades Bar & Grill for a casual after-party (https://shades30a.com/) 10952 E County Hwy 30A Inlet Beach, FL 32413 On Sunday, we plan to host a brunch for all guests to attend. More information to come.
Our registry is through Zola, so you can find all of the gifts we are registered for if you click "Registry". We have taken the time to choose these gifts, experiences, and wish lists together, and we are hopeful to not receive duplicate items, so please shop the registry if you can.
