Tori and Rex first met on a late night out in downtown Orlando at a bar called Saddle Up, the kind of place where you usually expect loud music and questionable drink choices, not the person you end up building a life with. But there they were. Tori spotted a tall, handsome guy and instantly felt like she needed to know him. Rex saw a cute girl sitting alone and figured he should find out what her story was. A week later, on January 12th, 2019, they had their first date at Kres. What was meant to be a simple dinner turned into easy conversation and the beginning of something that just made sense. They talked every day from that point on. The timing wasn’t perfect, a work trip, a family funeral, and the usual chaos of life, but even with a messy calendar, neither of them lost momentum. They officially began dating on March 23rd. In December of that year, Tori moved to Tampa for a new job. Just a few months later, the world shut down, and they spent three months living together in Orlando during the height of COVID. It wasn’t glamorous, but it showed them exactly who they were as a team. By August 2020, Rex bought a home in South Tampa, bringing them back to the same city again. But in 2021, Tori’s career took her to Fort Lauderdale, and they found themselves handling long distance for the second time. The universe stepped in, or at least a catastrophic leak on the 25th floor did, and in August 2022, Tori moved in with Rex for good. Their little family grew in February 2023 when Finley joined the mix, a very loved (and very spoiled) addition who quickly became the center of their routines. Together they settled into a life full of Sunday breakfasts, exploring new restaurants, cozy nights with their favorite shows, and all the simple moments that slowly knit a life together. On April 25th, 2025, Rex proposed, a day that felt like a natural continuation of everything they had already built.
