Question

Is there a wedding ceremony?

Answer

Tori and Dullah will be married in a private Islamic Nikkah ceremony on the morning of May 25. Due to space restrictions at the mosque, we were unable to invite all of our loved ones, but we hope you will still join us in celebrating our marriage later in the evening.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Due to limited seating and venue capacities, only those specifically named invitation are invited. We hope you understand.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We are at capacity with our venue which means we are sadly unable to accommodate additional guests. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If you have any questions, please reach out.

Question

What should I do if I cannot make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you cannot make it to our celebration, please let us know as soon as possible, so we can plan accordingly.

Question

What is the best way to RSVP by March 31?

Answer

Please visit the "RSVP" tab on this website and type in your name. Then, you will be able to fill out the RSVP form. RSVP by March 31.

Question

What are the details of the reception?

Answer

Please wear semi-formal/cocktail attire. There will be a buffet with traditional Lebanese and West African food, and you can let us know any dietary restrictions when filling our your RSVP information. Come with your dancing shoes! Free parking will be available in a lot next to the venue (there will be signage).

Question

What is the dress code for the Nikkah, and what should I expect?

Answer

Modest attire is required. Wear loose fitting clothes that cover the arms and legs. No shorts, short-sleeved shirts, or hats are allowed. Hijabs will be provided for our non-muslim female friends and family, and they must be kept on at all times while visiting the mosque and its grounds (even after the ceremony ends and during photos). Makeup is permitted. Here are some brands/websites to look at for inspiration for modest clothes: Urban Modesty, Veiled, Niswa Fashion. Be prepared to take off your shoes and store them in a provided shoe rack before entering the mosque (socks may be worn). There will be no pews or chairs in the mosque; we will all sit on the carpeted floor. Men and women sit separately within the mosque. Children may sit with either gender. No food or drinks are allowed in the mosque or courtyard/grounds. No smoking. Please don't hesitate with questions.
