We're so excited to celebrate with you!

Though we both attended Michigan State University, we first met on Twitter through someone that we both followed. We tweeted and texted all through the end of the first semester, and after we returned from winter break, we felt it was finally time to meet up. We finally met in person at the CATA bus station on campus on January 6th, 2013 and walked to the Coldstone Creamery just off campus. I was over 15 minutes late, if you know me you know that is consistent with who I am, and Toren still waited for me, though he jokes that he was about to leave after one more minute and never look back! I knew he was special when we sat in Coldstone for 6 hours, until they closed (well after our ice cream was gone!), just talking and getting to know each other. He officially asked me to be his girlfriend two weeks later on January 20th!

Since we met at MSU, much of our relationship occurred while we were at MSU, and we both graduated from MSU, Toren thought of the perfect proposal location: MSU of course! If you know my parents, you know that they host a killer tailgate at the majority of home football games, with lots of food, friends, and fun. It was at one of these tailgates that Toren proposed. I had no idea! I couldn't have asked for a better proposal and I was so excited to finally say yes to marrying my college sweetheart and best friend!
