This drive is a must. Smuggler's Notch is an Iconic VT route along Route 108. Check out the short hike to Bingham Falls (.5 miles) or the Smuggler's Cave (roadside at the top of the notch)! If you are looking for a something a little longer, consider a hike to Sterling Pond (2.4 miles roundtrip), or for those of you looking for something VERY challenging, try Hellbrook to the top of Mount Mansfield (3.5 miles roundtrip, 2,600 feet of elevation gain).
