Well, while I was on the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit's 19.1 patrol working nights, I had received a friend request over Facebook from Jaclyn. Forgetting that I had asked for dip and naked pictures of Jaclyn as a care package from my best man earlier in the week, I accepted. Instantly she messaged me and let me have it. But putting on the charm and being the super swell guy that I am, I wooed her into being my girlfriend instead. I told her that I was going to get her to fall in love with me, which was always met with an eye roll and a laugh. Well guess who has the last laugh: we do, because I'm going marry the s*** out of you Jaclyn. We don't even know when we started dating, I just remember being on FaceTime with my mom while I was in the Philippines telling her that I'm bringing home a girl she's going to love more than me. We had spent the first year our relationship 7,000 miles apart while I was stationed in Japan. It was rough, but ultimately ended up solidifying our relationship because we got to know each other on a deeper level. I still may be waiting on nudes and dip (fingers crossed!), but I don't have to wait on a wife. - Andy While hanging out with two of our best friends, I was told that Andy was very specific about what he wanted in a care package while he was in Japan (reference above story). So, being who I am, I FB messaged him the next day and called him out on his requests. He hesitantly responded and we have talked every single day since. That was January 21, 2019. He told me his plan was to "get me to fall in love with him." Yeah, yeah I know what you're all thinking..."He was right." Well, I guess he wins this one. Some of the best days of my life have been spent falling in love with Andy. Wouldn't trade it for the world. I love you endlessly, Babe. Lets get married! - Jacks
I once asked Jaclyn what size ring she wore. She and her mom went to look at rings and found/designed the one she wanted. That was back in March 2020. As the time went on, she kept asking when I was going to propose, to which I responded "only six people are going to know the plan and you're not one of them." The plan: have my parents in Charleston, take them over to Shem Creek, propose to her on the pier, have her parents surprise us on the pier right after she said yes, proceed to the restaurant and have our best friends be the final surprise. Well, that is technically how it went, but I wasn't the one that planned it. Jaclyn had planned it unbeknownst to her because "she's too smart!" and I can't keep a secret from her. Instead of her parents surprising her, she invited them down. Instead of our best friends surprising her with dinner, she invited them to come hang out with us all. What I should have done was let her plan it all then just surprised her along with everyone else. -Andy I'm too smart. At the end of the day, I said yes. Now you're stuck with me. -Jacks
