Things To Do

Here’s a few of our favorite hangout spots and things to do around the area if you’re in town for the weekend.

Eagle Park Brewing & Distilling

Commerce Center Parkway, Muskego, WI 53150
, (414) 585-0123

Over the years, my dad, David, got me into craft beer, and subsequently I got Melissa hooked as well. Eagle Park is one of our favorite breweries, offering a wide variety of juicy IPA’s, fruited sours, chocolate and espresso flavored stouts, and a killer food menu to match. There other location is near downtown Milwaukee, on Hamilton Street.

The Hale House

10539 West Forest Home Avenue, Hales Corners, WI 53130
, (414) 377-9392

One of our favorite restaurants is a hole in the wall in Hales Corners, right down the street from our apartment. The food never disappoints, and the beers on tap are always great as well.

The Brass Tap

7808 West Layton Avenue, Greenfield, WI 53220
, (414) 301-4054

Sensing a beer theme here? The Brass Tap has no shortage, at over 80 on tap at all times. The dining room is also littered with giant flat-screen televisions, and is our favorite spot to catch a Packer game.

South Shore Terrace Kitchen & Beer Garden

2900 South Shore Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53207
, (414) 617-1147

This outdoor beer garden offers food, beer, and great views of the city of Milwaukee skyline and Lake Michigan, and sits right near South Shore Yacht club.

Milwaukee Public Market

400 North Water Street, Milwaukee, WI 53202
, (414) 336-1111

The public market is home to lots of local eateries inside, all which have amazing food. One of our favorite spots inside is St. Paul Fish Co., where we always enjoy the shrimp po-boy sandwich.

The Outsider

310 East Chicago Street, Milwaukee, WI 53202
, (414) 291-3980

A chic and stylish rooftop bar in Milwaukee offering fantastic views, and a really good Old Fashioned. One of our favorite spots to grab a cocktail and sit back and enjoy the view.

Milwaukee County Zoo

10001 West Bluemound Road, Milwaukee, WI 53226
, (414) 771-3040

The area zoo we both grew up going to. Don’t feed the peacocks that roam around!

Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets

11211 120th Avenue, Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158
, (262) 857-2101

Tony’s the shopper of the two, and this is his favorite outdoor outlet mall to grab deals at.

Colectivo Coffee Lakefront

1701 North Lincoln Memorial Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53202
, (414) 223-4551

A cool old building on the lake is one of our favorite spots to grab coffee. Pathways are on either side of Lincoln Memorial Drive as well, which we like to bike and run on.

Sugar & Flour Bakery Cafe

5721 Broad Street, Greendale, WI 53129
, (414) 421-5565

Our favorite mom-and-pop cafe. Located in Historic Downtown Greendale, there’s also a couple good pizza places nearby, as well as Southridge, the local shopping mall.

Grant Park

100 Hawthorne Ave, South Milwaukee, WI 53172
, (414) 762-4646

A lakeside park that’s a favorite hiking spot of ours. Take the historic Seven Bridges hike, or go right down to the lake to enjoy a picnic.

AXE MKE

1924 East Kenilworth Place, Milwaukee, WI 53202
, (414) 488-9340

Beer and axe throwing? Say no more!

Kopp's Frozen Custard

7631 West Layton Avenue, Greenfield, WI 53220
, (414) 282-4312

Our things to do page wouldn’t be complete without Kopp’s. An absolute staple for Milwaukee area residents, the best custard around. An additional location is in Brookfield and in Glendale.

Crave Cafe

3592 North Oakland Avenue, Shorewood, WI 53211
, (414) 204-8778

Our college burger joint. Absolutely amazing burgers!

Purple Door Ice Cream

205 South 2nd Street, Milwaukee, WI 53204
, (414) 988-2521

Another great ice cream spot. This spot has some odd but delicious flavors, such as whiskey, and beer and pretzels.

For all the days along the way
