FAQs

Question

Are children/babies invited to the wedding ceremony or reception?

Answer

As we love each of your beautiful, fun, and entertaining littles we request that our wedding ceremony remain adults only (reception is open to all...littles included).

Question

Can I bring a date or a guest?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” or the name of your plus one, then yes, if not, the invitation is only for you.

Question

Do I need to RSVP?

Answer

Yes, if you do not RSVP you will not be added to the attendee list for the wedding. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate those that did not RSVP by the given time frame.

Question

Will there be a Nigerian "money spray" or " money dance"?

Answer

Yes, yes there will be. Traditionally, during a Nigerian wedding reception, the wedding guests, bridesmaids and groomsmen will surround the new bride and groom on the dance floor and spray them with money. This is a fun and festive traditional ritual symbolizing prosperity for the new couple. We do hope you will all dance, spray money and participate.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes. Formal. Look fly- because why not- its a celebration...think royal wedding or cocktail party in the Hamptons (not ballgown).

Question

Will transportation be provided to the wedding and reception location?

Answer

The San Francisco War Memorial is Bart accessible, located 0.3 miles from the Civic Center/UN Plaza station. It is also a prime location for a Uber, Lyft and taxi drop off.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Not totally sure- be sure to check your weather app (or channel). However, a famous quote used to describe summer in San Francisco goes as follows, "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco." The weather can be a bit unpredictable, ranging from 50-80 degrees in the summer- we do suggest everyone pack a light jacket or shawl in the case of cool ocean breeze.
