Saturday morning, Aisha and Tony participated in a 5k run at Lake Merritt to benefit Aisha's job. After, Aisha went home to leisurely hang with her sister and take a nap and Tony began to gather the "crew" to prepare for a very epic evening. Aisha, her sister Amina and best friend Keisha planned dinner at 1300 on Fillmore in San Fransisco to celebrate Keisha's new job (well that is what Aisha thought). After being seated at the restaurant, Tony's friend's Kevin came out as their server. Kevin placed menus on the table that read, “Specials for Aishatu.” A few of the listed options read, “An evening with food and fun with your besties,” “a lifetime of ups, downs, highs, lows and above all else-Love.” Aisha began to realize what was happening. Kevin stepped back and 3 of Tony’s friends ( Tracy, Brandon, and Bobby) surrounded the table and began to sing an acapella cover of Justin Timberlake’s song "Mirrors" (Tracy on the table percussion). It was almost a boy band, until Aisha looked up and saw one of her best friends (Jamelle) join in the rendition of the JT classic. Tony swooped in and joined the musical group, hitting the solo with, “You are my reflection, all I see is you, my reflection in everything I do …” As Tony and the band sang, 2 more of Aisha's best friends (Adina and Tanisha) and her niece (Charmaine), all in from out of state, surrounded the table, cuing Aisha's hysterical tears. Tony bent on one knee, whispered meaningful and passionate words (in true Tony fashion) into Aisha's ear and asks Aisha to marry him. Aisha admits to having no idea what he said aside from, "Will you marry me," and the answer was an unequivocal yes! We cant wait to celebrate with you all! See you in the Bay
