FAQs

Question

Where will the ceremony and reception be held?

Answer

Our wedding will take place at two different locations. The ceremony is by invite only, keeping it more intimate and private for close family. The cocktail hour and reception to follow will take place at the Daviess County 4-H Building located next to the Eastside Park in Washington, IN (4-H Way, Washington, IN 47501).

Question

What time is the ceremony?

Answer

For those who received a ceremony card with their invite, the ceremony will take place at 3:00 pm at Providence Mennonite Church. Please plan to get there 45-30 minutes before it begins. The doors will close at 2:50 pm. Allow plenty of time for travel, traffic, and parking. If you show up after the doors have closed, kindly remain outside until an usher comes to get you following the wedding party's entrance. Therefore, plan accordingly. For those who did not receive the ceremony card, please understand that the church can not hold everyone, and that we are planning for the ceremony to be more intimate with close friends and family. But, we look forward to seeing you at the reception following the ceremony!

Question

Can I bring a guest/plus one?

Answer

Please enter the first and last name of one member of your party below. If you’re RSVPing for yourself and a guest (or your family), you’ll be able to confirm your entire group after submitting our name. If you’re unsure whether you have a plus one, simply enter your name. If a guest spot has been reserved for you, the option will automatically appear. If no additional spot appears, please know we truly wish we could invite everyone — the more the merrier! — but we’re keeping our guest list centered on family and friends who we are familiar with. We hope this helps clarify, but if you still have questions don't be afraid to reach out!

Question

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

When you RSVP, you’ll be able to respond for each member of your family who is listed on your invitation. Please note that not all invitations include children. This may be due to limited space at our venue or because we hope you’ll be able to enjoy a special evening celebrating with us on your own. For those with children, we will have a small activities table with crafts to keep them busy, while you catch up with family and friends! We truly appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate together

Question

Do I have to RSVP?

Answer

Everyone who receives an invitation is kindly asked to RSVP. Even if you’re unable to attend, please submit your RSVP to let us know. You can respond through the “RSVP” tab on our wedding website or contact us directly. If you plan to attend the ceremony but not the reception (vis versa), please indicate only the events you’ll be attending so we can have a more accurate guest count.

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

We kindly request that you RSVP though our website as soon as you receive your invitation to help avoid any last-minute oversights. The final day to submit your RSVP is August 1st, 2026.

Question

What happens if I don't RSVP in time?

Answer

If we don’t receive your RSVP by August 1st, your response will be recorded as a “No.” While we’ll miss celebrating with you, we need a confirmed guest count to plan seating and ensure we have enough food, desserts, and beverages. We appreciate your understanding.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal, dressy casual, and semi-modest. We’re here to celebrate, but there will be photographers capturing the day—so you’ll want to look your best! Our wedding colors are nature themes - floral, browns, dark tans, greens, and blues. You do not have to wear these colors if you do not wish, but please avoid wearing white or champagne to ensure the bride and groom stand out.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will take place indoors, while the reception will be in the 4-H barn, which is more exposed to the outdoors.

Question

Is there a seating chart?

Answer

Absolutely! A seating chart will be available at the entrance of the reception venue. We want to ensure everyone has a seat and no one is left alone. This celebration is all about friends and family coming together, so we encourage everyone to mingle. For the ceremony, you’re welcome to sit on either side, but please avoid the front row so our immediate family can be closest to the bride and groom.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! There is plenty of parking available for our guests, and signs will be posted along the roads to help guide everyone and prevent anyone from getting lost.

Question

What food will there be at the reception dinner?

Answer

Our catering will be provided by family from Cannelburg Processing. The menu includes marinated turkey strips, roasted potatoes, green beans, side salads, and rolls. The dessert table will feature a variety of family recipes from the wedding party, offering something to delight every taste!

Question

Will the food menu be catered to those with food allergies?

Answer

We have a set menu and can not cater to everyone specifically. But, if you have any allergies we should know about, please don’t hesitate to reach out! We want everyone to enjoy the celebration, and we’ll make sure there are suitable options if needed.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

An open bar will be provided by Red Bones in Montgomery, IN, featuring special couple’s drinks—HIS, HERS, and OURS—along with kegs to keep the celebration lively!

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Yes, we do! Our registry can be found under the "Registry" tab on our website. Our guests are not required to get anything, but if you would like to, we would greatly appreciate that!

Question

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is simply enough, but if you do decide to buy a gift, you can mail it to our home. The address is linked on our registry. Therefore, when you buy something from our registry, there will be an option to send it to our address. For those invited to the bridal shower, most gifts will be given there, but there will also be a card and gift table at our reception if you would like to bring it there.

Question

Am I allowed to take pictures at the ceremony/reception?

Answer

Who doesn’t love a great candid moment? Please have fun, but try not to let your phone distract you from the celebration. We want to spend time with all our guests, so taking photos shouldn’t be your main focus—we’ve got photographers for that! If there’s a photo they capture that you’d like, just let us know, and we’ll be happy to share it with you.

Question

Are there nearby hotels?

Answer

Yes! We understand that the venue may be out of the way for some of our guests. Under the "Travel" tab on our website, you can find details of nearby hotels. There are the ones closest to the venues, but you are more than welcome to stay somewhere else of your choosing. And don't be scared to reach out to family to stay over for the night - our doors are always open!

Question

I have more questions about your wedding, who can I contact?
