We first met at our mutual friend Kassies birthday party that was 3 days at a friends house playing lawn games, shooting guns, video games and lots of fun. It was during Covid and Tommy had to leave Telluride shortly after for work in Kansas. We texted and called each other the entire time until he came back. As soon as Tommy came back we were inseparable and the rest is history.

In December of 22 we bought our dream home outside of Telluride. Out our front door is Sunshine mountain. Every day we see this mountain and decided we were going to hike it. Little did I know Tommy thought that would be the perfect opportunity to make that special hike even more special. There is little to no trail and we had to bushwhack up nearly 4 miles and 4K feet of gain. Tommy was incredibly encouraging the whole time ensuring that no matter what we would make it to the top. Once we finally made it Tommy asked me to set up the camera to film our handshake we do at the end of big hikes. I thought nothing of it until our handshake was finished and he told me to stand there and he began digging through his pack. It dawned on me and I began to ugly cry. Tommy got on one knee and told me nothing would make him happier than for me to be his wife and him to be my husband. It was an enthusiastic yes!
