Our venue is called Star Meadows Ranch. It's located about 30-40 minutes west of Whitefish. There are 360 acres on the ranch, but we'll be in a smaller area up on the hill. There are four cabins, which our immediate family and the wedding party will be staying in. There will be plenty of room for parking and camping. We are so excited about our venue because there are no neighbors, no noise restrictions, and no curfew! There is a brand new 5,000 square foot covered pavilion, so we'll be able to dance the night away, rain or shine!
Yes, we will be having the ceremony we planned last summer. We're excited to wear our fancy attire, walk down the aisle, and say our vows. We didn't do this before because we wanted to save it for this special day that we worked so hard to plan.
The only requirement is that you must bring your dancing shoes! Our wedding is in the summer, so it is probably going to be hot during the day. It will cool down when the sun goes down, so make sure to bring a light jacket. Remember, this is Montana we're talking about! The weather can be unpredictable, so be prepared for anything. We really just want everyone to be comfortable. If that means shorts and flip flops, so be it!
The wonderful Ed McGrew's will be serving his to-die-for BBQ. We're already drooling thinking about his brisket and mac and cheese.
YES! This is one of the things we're most excited about. The insanely talented Man & The Box will be there and will be serenading us all evening.
When you RSVP, you might see that you have a guest along with your name. If you don't see this and want to bring a special someone, please just let one of us know!
Our wedding will be unintentionally "unplugged," as there is no cell service in the area. The service drops out shortly after leaving Whitefish, so make sure you plan ahead with directions and communications. They do have wifi at the venue, but it's not strong enough for everyone attending to connect to. But it's nice knowing we're not completely disconnected from the rest of the world.
The road up to the venue is paved, with the exception of the drive into the ranch. It's a winding road with a 25 mph speed limit. This is a really beautiful drive, but please be careful and watch for other drivers, wildlife, and patrol cars!
Unfortunately, we don't have anything like that scheduled right now. If you're concerned about driving, please camp at the venue!
Yes! We want this to be a party for everyone!
If you are experiencing any symptoms, we kindly ask that you please stay home. (We love you and will miss you, but would rather not risk it!) Our venue is in a large, outdoor area. You can keep your distance from others if you choose to. The ceremony is outside with options to sit or stand further back. The reception is in a pavilion that's open on three sides. Standing tables will be available on the lawn outside of the pavilion. Please feel free to wear a mask if that's your preference. We will have hand sanitizer on every table and hand-washing stations in the bathrooms. Food will not be self-serve and disposable gloves will be available in high-touch areas.
