Wedding Party

Michaela Shaffer

Maid of Honor

Michaela and I became best friends sophomore year of high school in Biology class, where we were told to quiet down probably more than two or three times by Mr. Jameson throughout the semester. We have remained inseparable through all of my moves around the world since graduation in 2013 and I feel so lucky to have had her by my side last September at the courthouse where I legally married the man of my dreams. And now looking to the day I have dreamt of my entire life, I will have her by my side again as Zach and I renew our vows on our 1 year anniversary.

Marc Navejar

Best Man

Marc and I became friends on the Westerville Central High School wrestling team during my sophomore year. I have always been close with him and his family as his family always helped out the most when it came to wrestling tournaments and events. When I left for American University, Marc became one of my best friends and never failed to make sure we hung out whenever I was back in Columbus. After graduation, I moved back to Columbus where Marc and I started working downtown at a bar together, the perfect bartender-bouncer duo (I'm sure you can guess which one of us was the bouncer...) We worked and drank together pretty much every weekend and in the last 13 years, we have been there for each other through every high and every low.

Brenna Oskarsson

Matron of Honor

I met Brenna, and her now-husband Moss, at a karaoke bar in Tempe after moving back to Arizona in May of 2019. I never thought that after that night, she would become one of my best friends and a huge support system in my life. Both Brenna and Moss have always been there for me and in just three years, we have gone through several ups and downs in life but we were always there to lift each other up. In March of 2021, I stood by Brenna's side and watched Moss cry as she walked down the aisle towards him and I am so thankful that she will be next to me as Zach does the same (he better...).

Devin Bundy

Groomsman

Bundy became my first friend in the Marine Corps when we met at boot camp at Paris Island back in 2019. We have countless stories from our adventures of being machine gunners at Infantry Training Battalion at Camp Geiger in Camp Lejeune and at Basic Security Guard school in Chesapeake, VA. Bundy and I got stationed at 8th & I in Washington D.C. together and we were always there for each other to lift each other up when things in the Marine Corps, let's just say, got a little dumb. I love you Bundles.

Kaylee Krumm

Bridesmaid

As Kaylee and I shared glares back at our 6th grade orientation, we never thought we would become friends, let alone her becoming one of my bridesmaids. Another one of my bridesmaids, Mackenzie, introduced Kaylee and I a week later, and if you read my story on the home page, you know that without Kaylee, I probably never would have ended up with Zach. Our five years of wrestling escapades from 8th grade through senior year are by far some of my favorite memories and that part of high school, I wouldn't change for the world.

Cristian Masaya

Groomsman

Cristian and I met on the American University Division I Wrestling Team during orientation week back in 2012. He quickly became my best friend in college and even got me to join Greek Life (Miranda's absolute favorite thing about me) as a Sigma Chi. I'll never forget our bro nights with homemade guacamole, which of course Cristian made, and laughing our asses off to Gabriel Iglesias. You could definitely say he was the professional one of the two of us and I'd like to thank him for getting me through college as somehow through all the highs and lows, he was always able to keep my head on straight. I love you man.

Brittany Tashner

Bridesmaid

While living in Arizona during the beginning of the pandemic, I was laying by the pool when a cute little pup walked right through the pool fence into my arms. Brandi led me to her owner Brittany and the rest was history. Although Brittany and I only lived at the same apartment complex for a month or so, it was enough time for her infectious smile to make an everlasting impression on me. She is so fun-loving and I am so thankful that her dog knew we were supposed to meet.

Sergei Swart

Groomsman

I met Swart at Basic Guard School in Chesapeake, Va in 2019 and we became instant friends. He was a fellow midwesterner and a former college athlete like myself, which means we joined the corps a little later than most of the youngins. You could say we were the old men of the group and we were often referred to as the Dad's of the Marine Corps boys. Swart and I were also stationed at 8th & I together and we were designated drinking buddies, not by the Marine Corps per say... but self designated. I can't wait to responsibly drink with you at the wedding buddy.

Michela Rynczak

Bridesmaid

Michela had known Zach since her freshman year of college at American University and when I moved to Washington D.C. at the end of 2020, she quickly became my closest friend in the city. In the short time we have known each other, we already have drunken stories that could last a lifetime. From our bottomless brunches at Johnny P's to my bachelorette party in New Orleans, we have had quite the time, and her being by my side on Zach and I's wedding day is just another story in the making.

Thomas Cirocco

Groomsman

I met Tom on the American University Rugby Team when he came in as a freshman in 2014. Not only did he become like a little brother to me on the team, but he was also my "little" (such a manly term - No, Miranda didn't write this...tehe) in my fraternity. In 9 years, we have created memories to last a lifetime. Whenever there were parties on campus, everyone knew Tom and I would be there together, side by side. I'll never forget his velvet jacket getup at Rugby Formal, doing "Sidewalk Slammers" on Saturday nights, the strength of his cologne, or the time he and Cristian "Iced" me 6 times at my bachelor party. But, I'll also never forget the nights he was there for me when I really needed somebody. You really are like a little brother to me, Tom. I love you bro.

Mackenzie Boland

Bridesmaid

In 1st grade, Mackenzie told me I wasn't cool enough to play with her, but look at us now. Kenz has been one of my best friends since I can remember and I feel so blessed to have her by my side on one of the biggest days of my life. I think I've known she was going to be one of my bridesmaids since at least the 6th grade and I can't believe the day is almost here 16 years later. Mackenzie is one of the sweetest souls I have ever met and I've never had a doubt in the world that she would be there for me whenever I needed her.

Lorenzo Montecillo

Groomsman

Lorenzo, AKA Lozo the Brozo, and I met at Fitness19 after I graduated from AU and moved back home to Columbus. My favorite day as lifting partners was our infamous Halloween Leg Day where Lorenzo and I went to the gym dressed as Hercules and Maui from Moana. "Even demigods don't skip leg day." I remember my Grandma always used to call him "the cigar man" because he would pick me up every Tuesday for cigar nights in the Short North. To this day, I can always count on him sending me a funny video that I didn't even know I needed.

For all the days along the way
