Brunch or dinner at Lil Frankie's is a must - for brunch get the Milanese sandwich and the Limone for dinner.
One of our favorite restaurants in the city by far. Thursday Kitchen is a Korean fusion tapas restaurant with the most incredible food and drinks. They don't take reservations, so either go right when they open or put your name down and pop into Lovers of Today, Bua, or Goodnight Sonny for a drink while you wait.

Nice for a daytime activity. You will find vendors from all over selling vegetables, meat, baked goods, plants, etc. It's worth a walk around the park.
We wouldn't typically suggest going to Midtown but Hudson Yards is a nice area to explore for out of towners. There is lots of shopping, great restaurants and a nice view of the city at Edge.
Grab a coffee/bagel and walk through Washington Square Park and explore the area. Greenwich Village and the West Village are beautiful neighborhoods.
