Mary's cousin Lauren was visiting NYC in Sept 2016 to attend Global Citizens Festival with her college friends, one of whom was Tom. The night before the festival Mary & Lauren grab dinner in the East Village at Frank Restaurant, which happened to be one block from Tom's new apartment. Mary ends up going out with them that night and the rest is history! One of the many reasons the East Village is so special to Mary & Tom.

Tom made a reservation at a popular restaurant in Williamsburg, Brooklyn called Lilia where the two sat in a private yurt and had a wonderful dinner. Tom then took Mary to a friend's rooftop overlooking the east side of Manhattan where he got on one knee and popped the question. The night ended at a restaurant in their neighborhood celebrating with a small group of family and close friends. So excited to celebrate with everyone! See you in NYC!
