Where is the wedding ceremony taking place? What time does the ceremony start?

Holy Name of Mary Roman Catholic Church 22 Jefferson St. Ellicottville, NY 14731 The ceremony will start at 3:30 pm The church is located in the heart of downtown Ellicottville. It is about a 5-15 minute walk or a 1-3 minute drive from most of the accommodations if you are staying in town for the night.

Where is the reception taking place? What time does the reception start?

Answer

The Yodeler Lodge at Holiday Valley 6758 Holiday Valley Road Ellicottville, NY 14731 The reception starts with cocktail hour at 5pm-6pm, with a plated dinner and dancing to follow! It is a 5 minute drive from the church (and most accommodations in town) to the reception cite. We are currently working on providing transportation from the ceremony to the reception for those that may need it. Please refer back to the page closer to the wedding date for updated information.

What will the weather be like?

Of course we can’t guarantee anything, but be prepared for all weather! Western New York at this time of year could grant us with warmth and sunshine 🌞, a crisp autumn day 🍂or the possibility for flurries ❄️.

What should I expect after the ceremony?

Answer

There will be a gap of time of about 45-60 minutes between the ceremony. If you are a family member of the bride and groom, please stay at the church immediately after the ceremony to take pictures with the newlyweds. All others, feel free to return to your accommodations or explore downtown Ellicottville! It takes about 5 minutes by car to get to the reception site from pretty much anywhere from downtown Ellicottville. Transportation from the ceremony to the reception will not be provided for you. If you need a ride, ask around, someone may be able to take you! We are all one big family now!

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

If you plan on being in Ellicottville the night before the wedding, we suggest getting a chance to explore the town of Ellicottville! We will be having an informal gathering/welcome party at the Ellicottville Brewing Company around 8:30pm for those guests that are already in town and looking to get the wedding festivities started! On Saturday after the wedding the parents of the Bride, Ralph and Sandra Tomblin, would like to welcome you to their home for a casual get together! Please come to 6136 Peth Road Great Valley, NY 14741, any time between 11am -3pm. Food and beverages will be provided.

How can I RSVP?

Answer

With your invitation there is an RSVP card you can fill out and send back, or you can RSVP online using this website. Don’t forget to include any guests you plan on bringing! If filling out the RSVP cards, please write the initials of the guest’s meal choice next to the option. If you or your guest have any dietary restrictions please let us know and we will try to accommodate you.

Are children invited?

Answer

Yes! Children of all ages are invited, however we will not be providing babysitters so please plan accordingly. Children over 12 years old can select one of the meal options. Children 12 years and younger will receive a meal consisting of chicken tenders, French fries and a fruit cup. If your children have any dietary restrictions, please let us know and we will try to accommodate you.

I am from out of town, where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We have a block of rooms at the Inn at Holiday Valley and at the Windgate Hotel in downtown Ellicottville. The Inn is very close to both the church and reception site, just a 1-3 minute drive to either. The Windgate is located on the opposite side of town closer to shops, bars and restaurants. It is still very close to the church, but a bit further from the reception site. There is also the option of renting a home on Airbnb or VRBO. We recommend that you select a location either in the town or very close to it. We are currently working on providing transportation for those that may need it so please refer back to this page closer to the wedding date for updated information.

I am flying in from out of town, how do I get to and from Ellicottville?

Answer

If you are flying in for the wedding, you will most likely be flying into the Buffalo/Niagara International Airport. Ellicottville is about 45-60 minutes south of the airport. We suggest renting a car, using a ride share app, or coordinating with other guests you may know if you need transportation. We may be able to accommodate guests coming in on Thursday 10/27/2022 before 3pm with a ride into town. Please contact us to coordinate a ride with any other guests we may be picking up. If you need transportation back to the airport after the wedding, please reach out to other guests you may know that also need to get to the airport, or contact us and we will try to accommodate you as best we can.

Will there be transportation provided? What is parking like for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

If you plan on driving to the ceremony there is not much parking space at the church. Street parking is an option for the ceremony, so please plan accordingly if there are any guests who may have difficulty walking longer distances. If you plan on driving to the reception, there is ample parking. Guests’ vehicles can be left in the parking lot overnight if needed but please plan to retrieve you vehicle early the next morning as there may be another event at the site the next day. A shuttle after the reception will be provided to transport any guest either downtown to the bars for the after party or to their accommodations (within a 5 mile radius from Holiday Valley).
