William B. Umstead State Park
Umstead State Park is a huge park located 10 miles northwest of downtown Raleigh. It features over 22 miles of trails ranging from easy to moderate difficulty level. Check it out if you're looking for something active to do while you're in town!
Historic Oakwood Self-Guided Walking Tour
Check out this self-guided walking (or driving) tour along the 30-block area surrounding our venue. Historic Oakwood is a neighborhood of lovingly-restored Victorian and early 20th-century homes in a great variety of styles and sizes, many with beautiful gardens. Self-guided walking tour brochures are available from the Visitor Center or are available for download from the website linked here.
Downtown Cary Park
Downtown Cary Park is a seven-acre, state-of-the-art playspace for all ages! It has enough to keep you busy all day, including awesome views, restaurants, sports lawn, art walks, and more.
Dorothea Dix Park
Dorothea Dix Park is one of the largest urban parks in North Carolina. It offers tons of outdoor space including a sunflower field and trail, and it's located in the middle of Raleigh and surrounded by plenty of good eats too.
