Umstead State Park is a huge park located 10 miles northwest of downtown Raleigh. It features over 22 miles of trails ranging from easy to moderate difficulty level. Check it out if you're looking for something active to do while you're in town!

Historic Oakwood is a neighborhood of lovingly-restored Victorian and early 20th-century homes in a great variety of styles and sizes, many with beautiful gardens.
