Summers consist of Tigers baseball! We try to go to a handful of games every year. Sometimes even in the middle of the fourth inning scalping for cheap tickets on a Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, the Tigers are out of town during our wedding weekend, but take a walk around the stadium and see how many old english 'Ds' you can spot.
A summer staple for us! Grab a drink at The Skip and check out all of the art the alley has to offer. The frozen margarita is a T&T favorite!
Check out one of America’s most iconic roundabouts! From ice skating in the winter to the sandy beach bar in the summer, you can find us here year round. Campus Martius is one of the few places T&T can go to actually touch grass in the summer and lord knows they need it sometimes!
Visit one of Michigan’s most unique state parks. Belle Isle is home to so much. You can find us here in the summer on the days we need a break from the city life. Taylor’s favorite activity is time spent at the beach, while Tom’s favorite is the 6-hole par 3 golf course. If those aren’t your thing take a hike through one of the trails or visit the conservatory or aquarium.
Corktown is home of the original brick roads and holds so much history to Detroit. Corktown hosts the original Tiger’s Stadium now revamped for local baseball teams to play. Once you’re done checking out the stadium make your way over to Michigan Central Station and see the newly remodeled and beautiful train station. T&T Recs: Ottava Via - great an Italian food and bocci ball courts in the back. Great for a summer day! Grandma Bob’s - the best Detroit style pizza in the city. You won’t regret the lobster pizza, we promise! James Oliver - coffee is great and some of the best bagels in town. A Sunday staple for us!
