What could be a more "San Francisco" activity than seeing the seals at Pier 39 on the Embarcadero!
For our guests who have young families, we recommend a visit to Fairyland. It is located next to Lake Merritt and the park where we take Gogi.
Yosemite is paradise and a place we spend as many weekends as possible. Whether you are a climber or not, we strongly recommend visiting. If you want to camp in Yosemite, act fast. Reservations can be made 6 months in advance and book up in minutes. https://www.recreation.gov/camping/gateways/2991
Muir Woods is an amazing place to see Giant Redwood trees. There is a paved path through most of the groove, making it easy to go for as short or long of a walk as you want. If you want to go for a longer hike, we strongly recommend starting at Stinson Beach and taking the Double Dipsea trail to Muir Woods and back. This 10 mile out-and-back hike is our favorite in the Bay Area and offers amazing views of the ocean, San Francisco, and Redwood trees.
