Travel Note
Starting in 2025, you will need an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) visa to enter England as an American tourist. To apply, you'll have to pay $13 and fill out a quick online application either at the link below or on the UK ETA app. Results will be delivered within a few days via email and the visa will be auto linked to your passport once approved (so you won’t have to show approval at the border). (Note: if you're planning on traveling to other European countries, you will likely need a ETIAS visa.)
Flight
London has several airports, but we'd recommend flying into London Heathrow (LHR) as it is the easiest to get into the city. You can take the Heathrow Express train or the regular London Tube (subway) from the airport to the train station London Paddington. To get from the airport to the city, you can get detailed directions via Google Maps.
Train
One way to get to the venue is to take a train from London Paddington station to the Evesham train station (1.5 hours). From the Evesham train station, the venue is only a 5 minute taxi ride away. We highly recommend downloading the Trainline app or using their website to book your train.
Hotel
We are so excited to have our wedding at The Wood Norton, who also provides hotel accommodations! To book your room with the discounted wedding rate, you can call the venue at +44 01386 765 611 or email KatieButterworth@thewoodnorton.com (booking via the website will not allow you to book into the wedding block). When emailing, you will have the option to either pay in advance or on arrival. Any reservation, either paid in advance or on arrival, will still be charged if you cancel within 48 hours of the wedding. If you need assistance booking, please reach out to Lillie at +1 865 235 3698. Breakfast is included with your stay!
