We're Getting Married!

How We Met As most modern love stories these days, it all started when two people swiped right on a dating app in June 2022. After a couple messages back and forth, we decided to not waste each others time and meet for a drink at Modist Brewing. After successfully finding a parking spot (which is no easy feat in the North Loop of Minneapolis), I spotted this man walk in to the brewery with orange shorts and a ponytail. We shared a couple rounds of drinks that day and hung out a couple more times….getting tacos and margaritas, and meeting at the Pride parade. But then, life got a little busy for both of us and we lost touch for the next couple months. The Reconnection Then, randomly on an afternoon in October, after the Renaissance Festival was over, I got a text message from Tom and we started hanging out again. Tom introduced me to his friends at a pumpkin carving party. Then, I introduced Tom to some of my friends at a Rocky Horror Picture Show Halloween party, we dressed up as Riff Raff and Magenta. And from that moment on, we were inseparable. We’ve travelled to Mexico, the UP of Michigan, and Baltimore! There have been so many good memories, holidays, and of course starting our Lego collection. The Proposal Fast forward to the Sunday before Christmas, 2024. Tom suggested having a date day before the craziness of the holidays set in. Tom had us both get dressed up (yes, Tom wore a button-up shirt and real pants) and we went to Como Conservatory, one of our favorite places in the Twin Cities. As we were walking among the beautiful plants and flowers, Tom suddenly got down on one knee and I screamed “YES!” Now & Forever We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of our favorite people.
