Tom and Katie first met in 2006, when they both decided to take their talents to Cathedral High School here in Indianapolis, IN. It was the first day of high school. As shy 15yr old Freshmen, both were just trying to find their way to first period and not be late. It was hectic, and little Tommy was twisting and weaving through crowds trying to beat the bell, when a girl spilled her lunchbox… Tommy (as known back then) stopped dead in his tracks… He bent down to help, and locked eyes with the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. It was at that point that they both “knew.” They knew they were going to be late for class :) Four years of friendship in high school, both going their respective ways for college, before reuniting back in Indianapolis following graduation. It was March of 2015 when their official journey together began… Tommy had evolved into Tom, and in that evolution, he finally grew the cahunas to ask Katie on a date. The rest is history!

After over 5 years of fun, travel, and the joy of both becoming an Aunt & Uncle, on September 26th, 2020, Tom finally marshaled the courage to drop to one knee and ask for Katie’s hand in marriage. With the help of his sisters, he surprised Katie during a ‘tune-up hike’ for an upcoming trip. And now the real journey begins. After some debate and their quest to see the world, they will be tying the knot in Donegal, Ireland on September 7th, 2021.

The idea of hosting our wedding overseas started as nothing but a pipe dream years back. As Indianapolis is home for us both, we came to conclude, some of our best memories have come away from home, and in parts of the world we have never seen before. In starting this new journey of marriage, we decided why not reconnect with our family heritage and roots, and take our celebration to the Land of the Fairy Tales. We cannot wait to see you all there, and celebrate with the best of friends and family so very soon! Cheers
